New RodMaker Issue

The new issue of RodMaker will mail on Thursday, October 7th, 2010. Most subscribers will receive it during the 3rd or 4th week of October.

This issue, Volume 13 Issue #5, is the largest in our near 14 year history. In addition to the articles and features listed on the cover, another half dozen are included inside and round out the most information packed issue we’ve produced to date. Few subscribers will read this one cover to cover in a single evening!

Many rod builders call or write and ask about sample copies. Mostly they’re talking free, which simply isn’t something that’s possible to offer with a magazine of this quality and weight. For every free issue mailed, I have to sell 2 subscriptions at regular price just to cover the physical cost of that one issue. Most times when somebody asks about a sample copy I tell them to purchase a single back issue and see what they think. Those that do usually end up buying a subscription a very short time later.

But Wait…

However, from time to time I do like to get RodMaker into the hands of those who haven’t held a copy up close. So, for the next two weeks, any non-subscribers that would like a sample copy of RodMaker can get one for just $3. That covers 1st class postage and the envelope to mail it in. I’ll foot the bill for the magazine.

There’s More…

And I’m not done yet – if you currently subscribe to another rod building publication and would like to compare it to a copy of RodMaker, just send me a photocopy of the back page of your current publication clearly showing your name and address and I’ll put a copy of RodMaker in the mail to you at no charge whatsoever.

Here’s the address for those wishing a sample copy: RodMaker, PO Box 1322, High Point, NC 27261. Remember, this offer is good for two weeks from today.

I think you’re going to be impressed.

Tom Kirkman

I would like to get a copy to compare to what I take now. Do you need a copy of the whole back cover or just the lower part that has my name and the return addy of the magazine?

I would like to say that I have really just gotten involved in custom rod building and I have stumbled onto your magazine today. The great thing is that I saw the expo that you are putting on and when I looked at the info on it I was shocked to see that it was High Point North Carolina. The reason that that I am so excited about it is that I live in Greensboro, right next door. I would love to get a copy of you magazine and I will save you the postage and I would be happy to come and get it at your office. Thanks for your magazine and I can not wait to get my hands on one.
